A fermenter does one job well: it holds wort through active fermentation, manages the CO2 and krausen that come off a working batch, and lets you crop yeast from the cone. A brite tank does a different job — it clarifies, carbonates, and stores beer that’s already done fermenting, right up until it’s kegged, canned, or poured.
