How to choose cost-effective craft beer equipment

Miller

The miller is classified according to roller type, alloy roller, and plate, which are 201 stainless steel and SUS304 stainless steel, but the price is higher.201 stainless steel is better than carbon steel painted material, cause the smashed malt has no rust smell. Crushing pays attention to “the skin is broken but not completely broken”, and the process is to moisten the malt before crushing. It used to be hand-mixed with malt and moisturizing, but now there is also a mixing machine, as well as a reverse discharge frequency conversion design.

Of course, you can also choose dry crushing, which also ensures the integrity of the wheat skin to the greatest extent, and reduces the labor intensity. Since the conveying efficiency without shaft is lower than that with shaft, the problems of strong noise, material storage and secondary crushing caused by non-concentricity must be faced. The long-distance, multi-turn, no-retention, low-noise, and high-efficiency conveying method should be pipe chain conveying, made of SUS304 stainless steel, which is a perfect combination with the roller mill that discharges in the middle. The crushed malt can be sent to any position within 100 meters.

There are direct fire, electric heating pipe, heat transfer oil, boiler (the small kind also called the steam generator, electricity, gas, fuel oil, biological particles), and electric steam generators are most used in places with power three-phase electricity. Although these problems exist, it can solve the problem that there is only single-phase electricity or insufficient current carrying of wires on site, and use gas chemical energy instead of electric energy to reduce most of the electric energy demand. The burner of the oil-fired boiler is not as easy to use as the gas. The addition of diesel oil, volatile odor, wax formation in winter, and impurity blockage of the oil circuit all occur, but it can solve the problem of no gas and insufficient electricity. Of course, this is a special equipment. When it exceeds a certain range (within the latest domestic standard of 500kg/h), it will be reported by relevant departments for annual inspection.

Electric heating method

Electric heating is the most used, especially in the saccharification equipment of the leaching and saccharification process, and it is rarely used in the saccharification pot to heat up the mash. The heat accumulation on the surface of the electric heating tube is large, and it is difficult to conduct it out in a short time, which will cause the problem of burning materials. Besides, the surface is difficult to clean, and now the equipment is used less. Because some countries have stricter supervision on boilers, customers do not want to cause trouble in this regard. So there are electric heating tubes, electric heating tubes + heat transfer oil, and the direct heating efficiency of electric heating tubes is the highest. The problem of burning and difficult cleaning can be solved by thermal conduction. But they have to face the new problem of inaccurate temperature control, and have an experience value to stop early.

Except for the bottom of the pot, the combustion chamber is heat-insulated with refractory materials, and the efficiency is also very high. The equipment heated by direct fire is much more expensive than that heated by steam, which needs to be weighed.

The best heating method is steam. This is the consensus, what kind of energy is used to get the steam. Then there are heat transfer oil and direct fire heating.
